What have I been writing:
I recently completed my fourth book in my Treasured Truths series, Refreshed by Grace; Hearts Praying for Love to Reign. This book is another novella. It focuses mostly on Chaney and Eliana's marriage and the struggles they must deal with. Selfishness, stress, and differing opinions on what's important in life are just a few of the problems they wrestle with. Sometimes it feels as though there can't be one more thing that can go wrong. Chaney and Eliana must find their way taking their own vastly different paths to find out what really matters. They both find God's grace present to refresh them in the end, in very miraculous ways.

What the Lord has been teaching me:
The Lord's lessons for me are always amazing. My life has been highly stressful recently, hence the reason for the post being so late. I am once again finding that when stress is high and burdens feel heavy, the Lord's grace is greater. He has touched my heart with His loving-presence in many ways. Some of which are prayers of family and friends, His leading me in new understanding of His truth in very personal ways, encouraging texts and emails, and the grace of time for extra naps, when sleep eludes me at night. I recently came across an old hymn by William Cowper, it's titled Light Shining out of Darkness. Here are the words:
God moves in a mysterious way,
His wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.
Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never failing skill,
He treasures up his bright designs,
And works his sovereign will.
Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take, The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessing on your head.
Judge not the LORD by feeble sense,
But trust him for his grace;
Behind a frowning providence, He hides a smiling face.
His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding ev'ry hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flow'r.
Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan his work in vain;
GOD is his own interpreter,
And he will make it plain.

Yes, those clouds we dread, truly do break with blessings on our head.
My mom fell on Christmas eve and broke her right hip. So, she had to have a partial hip replacement on Christmas Day. And now she is in rehab, recovering slowly. The Lord has been answering prayers and demonstrating His steadfast love in sweet ways as only He can do in the midst of this.
My prayer is that you find the truth of those words being made real in your own life.
